Multiple MidWest metro locations - Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Omaha, & St Louis

This position is responsible for practice management including engagement management, performance management and revenue generation (primarily through developing new clients and somewhat through working with existing firm clients to assist major firm clients in achieving the firm’s and the client’s strategic and tactical objectives).

This position is an advisory role. You will work with clients, vendors, and delivery partners to recommend designs and implementation solutions to improve business results and/or compliance. Mentor and lead delivery teams for design, implementation and support. Develop and publish intellectual capital applicable to multiple situations and across service offerings. Act as Delivery Project Executive for firm Staff, partners, and clients to provide technical consultation in the development and delivery of solutions. Provide technical input to solution direction by providing real world customer requirements. Provide technical leadership in issue resolution. Provide technical coordination and ownership of strategic and tactical issues on client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new clients and drive revenue generation of $2-$3M annually for ITSM Advisory practice area – act as a true “Rainmaker”
  • Possess, maintain, and build a solid base of contacts from which to drive new business - even if it requires "cold calling"
  • Lead and/or support solution selling initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of service offerings and best practices
  • Manage, document, review, and certify the accuracy, completeness and viability of solution designs and implementations for ITSM Advisory clients.
  • Become the senior advisor to executive and middle management and client architects for client accounts.
  • Lead and/or support trouble-shooting and implementation initiatives as required to achieve firm and Customer objectives.
  • Consult, contribute to, and provide technical coordination in the design and development of solution offerings and prototypes.
  • Direct staff to accomplish objectives.
  • Create and maintain a virtual cross practice team to provide guidance, share knowledge and promote professional development.
  • Collect, evaluate and disseminate experience to enhance firm's intellectual capital.
  • Become a regular participant in the IT staff meetings of clients.
  • Promote cross practice integrated solutions that meet customer objectives.
  • Help accelerate and drive service excellence for firm.
  • Maintain appropriate internal and external certifications. Position-Specific Decision-Making Authority

  • Manage and lead firm’s technical team and/or firm’s partners in developing and delivering overall solution design.
  • Communicate technical insights and architecture at all customer levels.
  • Deliver the firm’s message of trusted advisor, product and vendor selection assistance and corporate commitment.
  • Work with and establish relationships with all team members both inside and outside of firm.
  • Recommend designs that will be reliable, available and serviceable in client's production environment across firm practice disciplines and relevant third-party products. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of industry standards and technical direction.
  • In addition to leading the firm’s teams enterprise solutions consulting approach, some other projects/solutions that our clients are faced with and that these candidates may be called upon to manage might include;
  • Help clients improve their business processes through IT business transformation,
  • User provisioning and other security solutions,
  • Automating the supply chain process,
  • Architecture integration, process improvement, and access control for ERP, Service Desk and CRM,
  • Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
  • Compliance & IT Governance solutions (SOX, GLBA, HIPPA, etc.)
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity and
  • Management on demand



Job Qualifications:

Work Experience

Typically has a minimum of 5-15 years developing new and existing client accounts and as an IT practitioner or equivalent education, with at least 5 years in the design and implementation of large-scale, multi-tiered, heterogeneous IT infrastructures. There should be at least 2 years of enterprise architecture experience. In addition, typically has 5 or more years experience in Business Consultancy, Services and/or End User roles in the Information Technology industry presenting to 'C' level executives.

Specific Skills and Certifications

Ability to provide leadership to technical personnel. Outstanding analytical, presentation and documentation skills. Ability to multi-task (e.g., handle multiple projects at once) and have understanding of both solution sales cycles and solution implementation cycle. Expert level knowledge in at least ONE Domain area and functionality knowledge in one or more additional Domain areas: IT Audit, Security, IAM/IdM, ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence (BI & DW), IT Governance, and Compliance.

Expert level knowledge may be competitive technologies from any of several vendors while functional knowledge is in at least one firm practice area.

Candidates should have high level implementation expertise as they will assist client CIO's in establishing change management processes and provide IT consulting services that could encompass products and/or solutions from many vendors.

Firm personnel assigned to support Industry specific clients (Financial Services, Retail, Energy/Utility, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical, Insurance, Federal and Local Government, Consumer Products and Manufacturing or Telecom industries) to have at least 5 years industry experience and maintain their up-to-date industry skills in their role.

Financial Services Consultants will be knowledgeable and/or have expertise in FFIEC, SEC regulations (1933, 1934 and both 1940 Acts), VISA CISP and PCI Data Security Standards, and Safe Harbor requirements. In addition, there should be some knowledge of FSCO and OSC in support of Canadian Financial Services.

Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Consultants will be knowledgeable and/or have expertise in HIPAA, JCAHO, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Energy/Utility Consultants will be knowledgeable and/or have expertise in Title 10 CFR (NRC Regulations), Title 18 CFR (FERC Regulations), ECPA, Energy Policy Acts of 1992 & 2005, FPA, PUHC, and PURPA.

Telecom Consultants will be knowledgeable and/or have expertise in Telecommunications Act of 1996, Title 47 CFR (FCC Regulations), various State based Public Utilities Commission regulations, VOIP, OSS, Cellular Service, and Wireless Broadband Services.

Insurance Consultants will be knowledgeable and/or have expertise in Automotive Insurance, Life Insurance, Healthcare Insurance, Property & Casualty Insurance, Specialty Insurance, GLBA, HIPAA, and SEC regulations.

Retail Consultants will be knowledgeable and/or have expertise in Import/Export Regulations, Hazardous Products Act, POS, Association of Retail Technology Standards, EDI, CRM, RFID, Supply Chain, Merchandise Management, and Credit Card Authorization and Draft Capture systems.

Consumer Products and Manufacturing Consultants will be knowledgeable and/or have expertise in Import/Export Regulations, ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle), FDA Regulations, FCC Regulations, USDA Regulations, Title 116 CFR Chapter 11 (Consumer Product Safety Act), CPSC Regulations, Title 21 CFR (Food and Drugs), SIMA, Supply Chain, and EDI.

There is an emphasis on, BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE, BUSINESS TRANFORMATION, COMPLIANCE, ERP CONTROLS, IAM/IdM, & SECURITY issues associated with ALL of these positions.

The Certifications related to the practice areas are HIGHLY desired: i.e. CISA, CISM or CISSP, ITIL (preferably at an advanced level), PMP or Six Sigma (preferably above greenbelt), MBA or CPA. No less desirable are other certifications provided by the various vendors and organizations associated with each of the practice areas.

These positions report to the Partner level. Candidates are expected to be capable of progressing to the Partner level within 12-24 months.

A minimum of a Bachelors degree is REQUIRED. Masters degree, MBA, or higher is highly desirable.

Additional professional certification(s) is highly desirable.
