Job Title: Oracle DB Infrastructure Architect Location: Major metro in NE, SE, MW, or W US Job Description: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, New York are preferred locations. The objective of this role is to deliver IT value that helps drive business results by understanding both the business of technology and how technology works within the business. For each level described below there are two career tracks: The first is the SME (Subject Matter Expert) path. The SME track is for those who are looking for a career path which emphasizes technical and/or industry expertise over the more traditional business development oriented career path. The second is the more traditional business development oriented career track which emphasizes the generation of revenue and requires that the candidate possesses, maintains, and builds a solid base of contacts from which to drive new business - even if it requires "cold calling.” This path is for those who are interested in and capable of acting as a true “Rainmaker.” Additional opportunities exist for those candidates who possess strong experience in specific industry verticals in addition to meeting the cross-industry requirements stated below. *Candidates interested in pursuing opportunities at levels up to and including Direct Entry Partner will be considered on a case-by-case basis based upon the merits of their accomplishments and qualifications for the role. A Senior Manager in the Architecture & Infrastructure Practice is expected to have the following overall IT and consulting expertise: Development of statements of work and/or client proposals Broad system level expertise across multiple computing platforms and technologies with the ability to influence direction around Oracle DB Architecture & Infrastructure at the Enterprise Level Organize knowledge transfer to clients Develop and manage vendor relationships Lead workshops for client education Identify opportunities to add value to the client’s organization by effective use of Oracle DB Architecture & Infrastructure solutions Build relationships with CXOs and key stakeholders responsible for Oracle DB Architecture & Infrastructure solutions in client’s organization A Manager in the Architecture & Infrastructure practice is expected to have the following overall IT and consulting expertise: Development of statements of work and/or client proposals Identify business opportunities to increase usability and profitability of Oracle DB Architecture & Infrastructure solutions Experience with program leadership, governance and change enablement Develop and manage vendor relationships Lead workshops for client education Manage resources and budget on client projects A Senior Consultant in the Architecture & Infrastructure is expected to have the following overall IT and consulting expertise: Development of statements of work and/or client proposals Defining, developing, and documenting business and systems requirements. Must have hands-on technical experience with Oracle DB Architecture & Infrastructure and one or more of the primary EBS modules Sr Oracle DBAs with large-scale system/infrastructure architecture design exp. These people are more than just a DBA. Experience with virtualization and Grid computing Experienced in managing large Oracle DB Architecture & Infrastructure efforts and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live. Architecture and solution design experience required Understanding of Oracle’s product line; RDBMS, Application or Application Server suite of products Understand our client’s business needs and how to apply technology to address their issues Be able to perform analytic evaluation of a client’s Oracle DB Architecture & Infrastructure installation Ability to navigate around a database to retrieve data vAble to effectively communicate business needs into detailed design documents Able to implement what they have communicated to clients Develop data gathering tools to support project objectives Ability to manage small engagements and teams or parts of large engagements, facilitate focus groups/discussions Ability to manage day to day client relations Use effective judgment to effectively manage and mitigate risk Motivate staff through professional and technical reputation and enthusiasm Gather time and expense information and assist managers in preparing invoices Assist in the development of training classes and courses Effectively identify and communicate opportunities for extended services to management Project Lifecycle experience. Lived a complete project from Scoping and planning requirements, through design, development, testing, and go live. Ability to manage small engagements and teams or parts of large engagements.
