The Sr Director, NE Region Professional Services is responsible for the direct supervision of the local Directors in the assigned region, of which there are currently 3, with the potential to increase as the company grows.
The Sr Director will be responsible for retaining and expansion of local accounts within the region.
This role will involve being a player coach. Therefore, they will also be responsible for recruiting, management and career development of local Directors, as well as, production and education consulting staff, for ensuring quality services delivery in all consulting engagements, and for the development of new services and license business opportunities in the assigned region.
The Sr Director’s three main responsibilities are selling services (60%), managing and mentoring local Director’s (20%) and managing delivery of services (20%). Time will vary – some spend more time on managing delivery if they have a lot of projects, but some territories might need more selling of services and working with customers.
The Sr Director won’t be coding or creating reports, but they should be technical enough to understand project scoping, what resources will be needed, how many and costs. They should understand the process and architecture of BI/DW in order to discuss services and how the projects will be set up.
These positions are only selling and delivering services and education. There is a separate sales force for product and licenses. Their quarterly commissions are based on things like margin and contribution.
Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Daily/Ongoing -
- Building and managing the regional consulting practice
- Working with local Directors to coordinate their effectiveness
- Manages Production and Education consulting resources
- Promotes production and presales best practices and knowledge sharing
- Responsible for recruiting and growth of the consulting organization at the regional level
- Responsible for staff/account management and prioritization and forecasting
- Coordination with regional sales management and consulting management
- Directly develop and manage Regional Key Accounts, both new and existing
- Develops and maintains relationships with channel partners
- Supports and implements regional and corporate initiatives
- Monthly/Quarterly -
- Develop and maintain world-class consulting processes and personnel
- Meet professional services revenue and profit quotas while managing regional P&L
- Provide delivery management to ensure customer satisfaction and referencability
- Provide support, tactical and programmatic, in achieving Regional product sales quota

Those involved with successful growth and completion of all accounts in the region (Local Directors, other Sr Directors, Presales Consultants, Prof Svcs Consultants, Sales Staff & Management, Technology Development, Product Management, Education, and Technical Services departmental staffs)

Qualifications:
Proven ability – both independently and in tandem with sales - to generate and develop new client relationships, grow and manage existing client relationships while meeting and growing revenue targets
Familiarity with various OLAP products, ETL tools, ‘Cubes’, RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and TeraData, web devlp, and C/S platforms
Technical education (BS, MS) preferred 7-10+ years of consulting and consulting management experience at the Region/ District level
5-7 years experience managing all aspects of a services business including P&L management experience
Prior experience in systems integration consulting or software/ hardware vendor services
Demonstrated ability to grow and manage the technical personnel and processes associated with enterprise software sales
Ability to excel in a team environment
Demonstrated creative problem solving ability
Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills

There is NO cap on quarterly bonus opportunity.

MUST be willing to travel 60-80%, depending upon location
A minimum of a Bachelors degree is REQUIRED. MS and/or MBA is preferred
Additional professional certification(s) is highly desirable
