Our client’s Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing Practice area designs, develops, and implements systems and processes to capture, integrate and distribute information in an enterprise. Their specific service offerings within the Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing area include: Information Strategy & Architecture Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing Our client’s technology consultants, working with other IT organizations, can help their clients to use technology integration to solve business challenges. They assess their client's current technology needs and assist with systems design and implementation to improve both enterprise-wide integration and profitability. The objective of this role is to deliver IT value that helps drive business results by understanding both the business of technology and how technology works within the business. For each level described below there are two career tracks: The first is the SME (Subject Matter Expert) path. The SME track is for those who are looking for a career path which emphasizes technical and/or industry expertise over the more traditional business development oriented career path. The second is the more traditional business development oriented career track which emphasizes the generation of revenue and requires that the candidate possesses, maintains, and builds a solid base of contacts from which to drive new business - even if it requires "cold calling.” This path is for those who are interested in and capable of acting as a true “Rainmaker.” Additional opportunities exist for those candidates who possess strong experience in specific industry verticals in addition to meeting the cross-industry requirements stated below. *Candidates interested in pursuing opportunities at levels up to and including Direct Entry Partner will be considered on a case-by-case basis based upon the merits of their accomplishments and qualifications for the role. A Manager in the Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing practice is expected to have the following overall IT and consulting expertise: Development of statements of work and/or client proposals Identify business opportunities to increase usability and profitability of information architecture Experience with program leadership, governance and change enablement Develop and manage vendor relationships Lead workshops for client education Manage resources and budget on client projects A Senior Consultant in the Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing practice is expected to have the following overall IT and consulting expertise: Development of statements of work and/or client proposals Defining, developing, and documenting business and systems requirements. Contribute to a strong client relationship through interactions with client personnel Understand the business context of the engagement Job Qualifications: In addition, team members in the Enterprise Content Management practice must have the following management/strategy capabilities and technical skills. Management/Strategy Capabilities Manager Ability to scope out the effort and cost for an enterprise reporting solution Ability to define how an enterprise information system will align with the organization’s business and strategic objectives Ability to manage multiple teams on a business intelligence / data warehousing engagement Sr Conslt Create processes for defining and documenting data standards and meta models Build an integrated metadata environment consisting of both operational and business metadata and ensure the quality and integrity of the data Identify opportunities to optimize performance of existing data structures Design and implement data quality and data auditing processes Provide expertise in data discovery and profiling Technical Skills Manager Strong background in architecting and implementing data management, reporting and/or data warehousing solution Good understanding of data management and data governance concepts Architect ETL solutions and be proficient with ETL tools Proficiency in advanced SQL Strong relational and multi-dimensional data modeling skills Knowledge of data, master data and metadata related standards, policies, processes and technology Past experience with data analysis, data architecture, data migration and database administration Perform key database administration tasks like data loading, partitioning, backup, and access control Prior experience with one or more data management tools available Knowledge of MDM concepts with design and implementation experience using Hyperion MDM Implementation experience including, but not limited to: Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion/Brio products like Hyperion Intelligence (formerly Brio Intelligence), Hyperion SQR (formerly Brio SQR), and Hyperion Performance Suite (formerly Brio Performance Suite 8) Sr Conslt Strong background in architecting and implementing data management, reporting and/or data warehousing solution Good understanding of data management and data governance concepts Architect ETL solutions and be proficient with ETL tools Proficiency in advanced SQL Strong relational and multi-dimensional data modeling skills Knowledge of data, master data and metadata related standards, policies, processes and technology Past experience with data analysis, data architecture, data migration and database administration Perform key database administration tasks like data loading, partitioning, backup, and access control Prior experience with one or more data management tools available Knowledge of MDM concepts with design and implementation experience using Hyperion MDM Implementation experience including, but not limited to: Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion/Brio products like Hyperion Intelligence (formerly Brio Intelligence), Hyperion SQR (formerly Brio SQR), and Hyperion Performance Suite (formerly Brio Performance Suite 8) Education: Manager Bachelor's Degree; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred; 6-10 years of relevant work experience Sr Conslt Bachelor's Degree; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred; as well as 4-6 years of relevant work experience The ideal candidate will possess the following professional qualities: Prior consulting experience in a "Trusted Advisor" role (Those without prior consulting experience will still be considered, but for a slightly lower level) Integrity - demonstrating the highest standards in everything you do Leadership Skills - motivating, influencing, and providing direction to others Team Skills - interacting and cooperating with others to achieve common goals Intellectual Competence - learning and processing new information, analyzing problems and new situations, and exercising sound judgment Flexibility - shifting priorities, adapting to new working situations and hours, and bouncing back from possible setbacks Motivation - setting high performance standards for yourself, and exceeding them Communication Skills - effectively articulating your thoughts and ideas both orally and in writing and proactively listening to others Prioritization Skills - organizing, planning and juggling multiple priorities and assignments to maximize productivity Customer Service Focus - developing, maintaining, and ensuring high quality client or customer relationships Technical Skills - acquiring and using specific knowledge of the technical tools required for the position Mentoring Skills - assist in the mentoring of more junior team members Ability to function independently and interact effectively with operational areas and colleagues Comfortable interacting with C Suite level executives Prior experience performing business development and relationship management functions Good written and verbal communication skills Excellent compensation. Additional professional certification(s) is highly desirable.
