Job Description:

Consultants and Sr Consultants tackle the most demanding assignments, from departmental data mining engagements to enterprise-wide e-business solutions implemented by cross-functional teams.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success. Services may include: product installation and implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit to meet customer business requirements
  • Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and recommend appropriate business systems and IT infrastructure for customers
  • Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements
  • Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for product software platform
  • Contribute to knowledge capital via project documentation and best practice solutions
  • Mentor other consultants
  • Participate in sales activities, when appropriate
  • Maintain and grow knowledge of BI functionality and technical skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision



Job Qualifications:
  • High level of technical proficiency in all aspects of OLAP and related technologies
  • Familiarity with various OLAP products, ETL tools, ‘Cubes’, RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and TeraData, web devlp, and C/S platforms
  • Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and Teradata, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
  • Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript)
  • Proven ability to learn about new technologies and apply that knowledge to new challenges
  • Knowledge and understanding of implementation methodology
  • Application knowledge of the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP
  • 1-3 years prior experience in systems integration consulting or software / hardware vendor services
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving ability
  • Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills

    • Prior consulting experience in a "Trusted Advisor" role (Those without prior consulting experience will still be considered, but for a slightly lower level)

    • Ability to function independently and interact effectively with operational areas and colleagues
    • Comfortable interacting with C Suite level executives
    • Prior experience performing business development and relationship management functions
    • Good written and verbal communication skills

    Additional professional certification(s) is highly desirable.

    A minimum of a Bachelors degree is REQUIRED.
