Description:
Project Manager contributes to technical account management and communications as well as customer satisfaction and implementation success.
The Project Manager Role is a lead consultant role which provides the employee with responsibility for successful delivery in specific customer engagements.
The Project Manager is responsible for timely deliverables, project staffing, and overall satisfaction of the customer. In this role, the Project Manager must become intimate with all concerns that the customer faces with regards to the overall success of the implementation.
The Project Manager must understand software implementation best practices as well as be extremely knowledgeable about the technology and architecture. Assignments range from departmental data mining engagements to enterprise-wide e-business solutions implemented by cross-functional teams.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
- Manage complex implementation, integration, enhancement, or audit projects: define production consulting scope, proposals, service engagements, and demand creation
- Manage and mentor more junior team members assigned to a project
- Work as part of a team with Sales, Sales Consultants, and Director of Professional Services
- Timely delivery of all project related deliverables
- Meet services revenue targets
- Position additional products and services into existing accounts
- May also serve as a senior-level billable consultant when needed
- Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and recommend appropriate business systems and IT infrastructure for customers
- Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements
- Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for product software platform
- Contribute to knowledge capital via project documentation and best practice solutions
- Maintain and grow knowledge of BI functionality and technical skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
Job
Qualifications:
High level of technical proficiency in all aspects of OLAP and related technologies
Familiarity with various OLAP products, ETL tools, ‘Cubes’, RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and TeraData, web devlp, and C/S platforms
Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and Teradata, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript)
Subject matter expertise in areas such as Databases, SDK, Architecture, Security, and BI Planning
Experience with implementation methodologies
Proven ability to learn about new technologies and apply that knowledge to new challenges
Knowledge and understanding of implementation methodology
Application knowledge of the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP
5+ years prior experience in systems integration consulting or software / hardware vendor services
Ability to excel in a team environment
Demonstrated creative problem solving ability
Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
